Vilamoura Riding centre

Adjoining Estalagem da Cegonha, this Riding Centre allows thrilling horse riding experiences, whether during lessons or rides around the nearby fields. A longer ride to the Vilamoura Beach is suggested to the most experienced and adventurous riders.

Starting from the Vilamoura Riding Centre, riders will pass the Cerro da Vila Archaeology Park, the football field and then follow a downward track to the Vilamoura Beach. This route is aimed at experienced riders.

Cerro da Vila Archaeology Park: the existing ruins correspond to a Roman Villa, surrounded by fertile fields, irrigated by water from a dam built at a distance of 2 Km.
A dyer's shop was located here, as well as evidence this location was included in the commercial network of the Roman Empire.
